Intel Capital Invests in CrowdStar, iStreamPlanet, Music Mastermind, and PerspecSys
Intel Corporation's global investment organization announces US$24.5 million in U.S. computing investments.
Intel Capital announced investments in four companies with services ranging from social games to cloud data security. CrowdStar develops social games on Facebook and mobile platforms; iStreamPlanet provides online media solutions; Music Mastermind, creator of cloud-based SoundBetter platform, is an independent entertainment and technology company; and PerspecSys is a cloud data security provider.
"With the four new investments announced today, along with recently announced deals in China and India, Intel Capital has surpassed $10 billion in total investments since its inception," the announcement says.
Intel Capital's extensive investment portfolio also includes Adaptive Computing, Black Duck Software, Collabnet, GigaSpaces, Likewise, Parallels, and VMware.
