Linux Professional Institute Certification Adopted by Spain's Public Schools
Bringing Linux education to tomorrow's IT professionals.
The Linux Professional Institute in a joint initiative with its program affiliate LPI-Spain have introduced a public education program focusing on Linux education and certification. The initiative is a joint effort between LPI and Proyecto Universidad Empresa and has been ongoing for the last six months.
In that time, PUE has acquired close to 20 training partners featuring educators in both Spanish and Catalan.
"In our education department we promote the use of Free software--particularly the use of Linux," Josefa Gonzalez Perales, INS La Ferreria, Montcada i Reixac, said.
Currently, the PUE trains and certified individuals for such major organizations as MIcrosoft, Cisco, and Sun. For more information, visit www.pue.es/lpi/.
