LinuxCon Brazil 2010 Lineup announced
The Linux Foundation has announced that LinuxCon will be making its debut in São Paulo Brazil later this year with a trio of open source luminaries delivering keynotes.
Lead kernel maintainer Andrew Morton, executive director of The Linux Foundation Jim Zemlin and Linux creator Linus Torvalds will all be making keynote speeches at the inaugural LinuxCon Brazil.
Other confirmed speakers for LinuxCon 2010 Brazil:
- James Bottomley, Linux Kernel maintainer of the SCSI subsystem, the 53c700 driver and the Linux Voyager port
- Ted Ts'o, fellow at Google and North America's first kernel developer.
- Ian Pratt, chief architect of the Xen project and vice president at Citrix
- Thomas Gleixner, maintainer of x86
- Jon Corbet, Linux kernel developer and editor , Linux Weekly News
“Brazil leads many other countries in its adoption of Linux and is a growing base of development. The time is right to take the industry’s premier Linux conference to Brazil,” said Zemlin, via press release.
Early registration costs US$ 150 and is available through June 15. The event begins August 31 at 9 a.m.
