OpenDoc Society Announces Document Foundation Membership

The Document Foundation brings LibreOffice to the association that promotes best practices for office applications with its membership into the OpenDoc Society.

The OpenDoc Society announces that the Document Foundation is now an organzational member, joining other companies, such as Cap Gemini, Google, IBM, CWI and the Netherlands Department of Defense, who have an interest or stake in the openness and future of documents.

The OpenDoc Society brings together and educates people and organizations on the future, best practices, available tools, legal issues, and latest advances surrounding documents.

Membership in the Society is open to anyone who has a professional or personal interest in best practices for productivity tools, specifically ODF and PDF.

The Society offers a variety of membership options to include a free support level membership. See the OpenDoc Society website for more information on member levels and costs.
