Palm Promises More webOS Phones in 2011
New webOS devices readied for early next year.
It was already announced that HP and Palm were readying webOS-powered tablets for next year, so it's only logical that the companies are preparing a new batch of webOS-enable smartphones for early 2011.
Details on these phones, including processor speed, carrier, and so forth. A logical assumption would be that the devices will launch with webOS 2.0 onboard, even that's not a given. VentureBeat reports that at least one of the new devices will be be a keyboard-less touch-based device with a high resolution screen similar to iPhone's. The project's codename is Mansion.
Expect further announcements on Palm's new devices as it gets closer to the new year or another shareholders call. Until then, dream away, webOS supporters.
