Ubuntu Developer Week: IRC Workshops
The Ubuntu Linux distribution is offering online workshops from September 1 through 5 for those who would like to jump on board the initiative.
The free sessions are available as IRC Chats at access server irc.freenode.net under the channel name '#ubuntu-classroom.' (For general inquiries, use '#ubuntu-classroom-chat.') The hosts request that you follow certain participatory guidelines.
The topics covered include packaging techniques, tracking bugs, version control, security, and unit testing. Additional details about Gnome, KDE, and Mozilla will be addressed. A complete overview of the sessions is available at the Ubuntu wiki page.
As a reminder, you can attach the session schedule to your Google Calendar or ICS calendar. Note that the schedule uses UTC as the time zone. For example, the first session begins at 18.00 Middle European Time, which shows as 16.00 (4 pm) UTC on the schedule.
