Boxee Available for Linux and Mac
Have you heard about Boxee? Boxee is a social media center based on the SourceForge.net Community Choice Award-winning XBox Media Center (XBMC) open source project.
Boxee lets you enjoy DVDs you've ripped or music on your harddrive, and you can also listen to or watch online content and share photos – all in the same interface. Boxee also allows you to recommend content to your friends on Boxee, Twitter, and Facebook, and it auto-discovers cover art for movies and music, allowing you to browse your collection with ease.
We recently met with Boxee's Andrew Kippen at LinuxWorld to see Boxee in action, and the first 50 Linux Pro Magazine readers to sign up also get a sneak peek at Boxee: http://www.boxee.tv/linuxpro
Find out more about the Linux version and stay updated on news and developments on the Boxee blog.
