Mandriva Releases One Isos
Public mirrors available for 32 and 64 bit builds
Mandriva released its 2010 Spring Beta2 isos earlier this week for testing both on native hardware and virtual machines. Isos for KDE and GNOME environments are also available.
Improvements in the beta include enhanced data encryption, allowing for the home directory to be encrypted quickly and easily. Network services can now be added to network profiles and parental controls now dictate both network and application access.
Also featured in the beta are enhancements to the Mandriva Directory Server. OpenSSH, massive user import and a userquota module are among a set functionalities designed to assist in managing an LDAP directory. Along with that come a new audit framework and new password policy module.
Mandriva's turn around from beta to alpha is quick because of its active community. You can do your part by downloading the Isos and as always, report any bugs in the Mandriva Bugzilla.
