Lars Boilesen New Chief at Opera
Opera's CEO and founder, Jon von Tetzchner, is to take up a new strategic position in the company. New CEO will be Lars Boilesen.
Boilesen started his career as Lego's European Manager and has been at Opera for five years. His talents can be found mainly in the areas of sales and marketing. From 2000 to 2005 he was head of sales at Opera, before taking up a position at Alcatel-Lucent, responsible for Scandinavia and the Baltic states. Tetzchner brought him back in 2009 where he became Chief Commercial Officer.

Boilesen, it seems, brings no surprises with him. Referring to further development of the Opera browser he said, ''Our goal is to continue the current strategy'' His change of status at the Oslo company has trebled his personal shares options from 580,000 to 1,780,000.
