SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) is Novell's top-end desktop Linux for corporate environments. Inside you'll find a steady and stable system designed for interoperability and business-like efficiency. This month's DVD comes with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of SLED 11. SLED offers a practical set of the best desktop productivity tools. Version 11 also comes with new power management features, including display dimming, CPU throttling, and hard drive shutdown. According to Novell, the new Nomad remote desktop suite provides "near-native" graphics for remote desktop access sessions, which makes SLED an ideal candidate for remote virtual desktops.
